When we get stuck in awful circumstances, we have to make a choice. We can let our circumstances rule us or we can rule our circumstances. You wanna know the best way to have power over them? Surrender.
Sounds ironic I know, but it works. The key to ruling our circumstances is to not rule them at all. Give them to Jesus. Praise Him in the midst of every dreadful moment. Breakthrough comes when we shout praises despite how we feel. It moves something within our spirits. It breaks chains and prison walls.
Acts 16:25-26
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”
If Jesus broke the literal prison chains and walls for Paul and Silas, imagine what He will do for you in the spiritual realm.
Don’t be discouraged today! There is power in your praise, your voice.
Mark 11:23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
It’s that simple. Really.
