Work For it

Y’all. We are in March already! It feels like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year with drinks and dreams in January of 2019. Did you make any New Years goals? I did. Three days later I forgot them.

I came into 2019 with a vision in my head of how this year would go, all the new things I would do, the routines I would instill, etc. None of which has happened yet. YET.

& You know what? It’s okay.

Three months into the new year, I realized that I didn’t pray while making my new goals. Mistake number UNO, Kate.

(Whatever you do guys, make sure to pray.)

But you know what? It’s okay.

Why?

Because this year isn’t over yet. It’s not too late to pursue those goals you set. It’s not too late to pray and even make new ones.

Don’t count yourself out. Don’t beat yourself up. Don’t have a pity party.

JUST DO IT.

I used to pray “God, help me to love you more.” One day God was like, “You don’t ask your mom or husband that. You spend time with them. You listen to them. You learn them and love them as a result of it.”

Basically, Jesus said I gotta “work for it honey.”

Ask and you shall receive. Knock and the door shall be opened.

You gotta ask. You gotta knock.

You can’t just want.

You gotta work for it honey.

So work for it.

Whatever “it” is. Doesn’t matter if it was a New Years goal or not. It could be a small desire of your heart.

This is your sign. This is your “push.”

IT AINT OVER TILL THE FLAMINGO SINGS

(Ps they don’t)

You are strong in Christ. You are not counted out, forgotten, or broken. You are healed. You are loved. You are going to achieve that which God has set in your heart, but you gotta work for it honey. 👏🏻👏🏻
